Seobong BioBestech Co., Ltd. is much better known to Korean livestock industry as Soltobio than its company name.

The Company is enjoying taking continuously coming in orders at this time of economic downturn, worse than the IMF era.

Last year, Seobong BioBestech Co., Ltd recorded 4.5 billion won and 1.3 billion won, annual revenue and net income respectively. This year the Company estimates it can realize annual revenue of 24 billion won this year based on the growing numbers of orders.

The product, “Biotite V”, which is patents pending in 23 countries including EU countries, has been successfully positioned in the global market since its penetration into the Japanese and European market in 2002.

It’s no wonder Seobong BioBestech Co., Ltd. also has gone through tough time.

Though Seobong BioBestech Co., Ltd. is running a business, which is stable and profitable, the rapidly spreading difficulty in recruiting new talented employees for small businesses also has affected the Company.

“Since the year 1992, I have worked only in the life science business for 12 years. I thought it had good prospects. Today, young people seem to be not patient and don’t have a craftsmanship.” Mr. Chung, CEO, says. He also believes that people are the productive capital for better future. His success is based on the business philosophy: an enterprise should earn people, not money.

So, he is focusing on raising “multi-talented” people for the company.

He points out, “what-to-eat has become the concern of many opinion leaders, due to the consecutive outbreaks of Bird flu, Pig fever and Mad cow disease,” and he says “the meats from the animals fed with chemically engineered compound feed, antibiotics and growth promoters affect the health of people.” In this point of view, Mr. Jung is very proud of Biotite V.

Mr. Jung emphasizes “We will lead the environment and bio industry based on the excellence of the products.” He is the well prepared CEO, dreaming of the “Global Leader” in life science industry in the future.
