“Around 400,000 of SCC (Somatic Cell Count) went down to 100,000 after three months of Biotite V addition in feed.”
Mr. Wu Jin-ok and Ms. Sohn Bok-dol of Hyunju Dairy Farm, located at Gyeonggi-do, Pocheon-gun, Gwanin-myeon, Tandong-ri, told that ongoing milk quota system limited their milk production to 529kg per a day and milk SCC level was graded second, which has made them undergo tough time. However, now, the improved SCC level (first grade) helped a lot their farm management with the increased profits.

Mr. Wu explained, “Last December, while I was worrying about the 400,000 of SCC and couldn’t get incentives for milk, I saw Biotite V advertisement of SoltoBio on a livestock magazine claiming its outstanding effects for mastitis prevention and cure. I started providing Biotite V to my cows. In addition to it, to cut down the number of SCC, everyday I did whatever I could do like CMT-scoring before and after milking, premilking, etc. At last, my efforts resulted in first grade SCC (under 200,000) from March, after three months of Biotite V addition.”
Mr. Wu said, “Natural bio-material Biotite V inclusion in feed seems to prevent mastitis and cure potential mastitis. Moreover, breast of cows became soft”, and, “most importantly, the biggest benefit is the antibiotics free milk.”
He told that he recommended Biotite V to other farms around. And actually some of them are using the product now.

Mr. Wu started dairy cow business since 1987 with five milk cows and the farm produced first milk in 1989. Presently, his 27 milk cows produce 700kg of milk per a day (SCC and bacteria in milk both are graded the first).
Early this year, the quota quantity reduced to 529kg, so he took over 100kg of quota from a farm which was about to shutting up the business.
His excellent calves, which are born by artificial insemination with superior semen, are fed with sufficient good quality feed and all male calves are sold out.
