Seobong Biobestech Co., Ltd. is a bio venture company which has been specializing in the manufacture of products related to bio engineering for the past 17 years. We have made strenuous R&D efforts and provided environment friendly products to improve the health of humans.

Designated as a small and medium business venture company, it had been subsidized by MIAF (Ministry of Agriculture and Forest) for its research for 3 years starting from 2001. Through a cooperative research with a team led by Prof. Kim In‐Ho of the Life Resource & Science Department of Dankook University and Livestock Research Center under MIAF, it succeeded in the development of the antibiotic substitute, “Sol‐to‐Bio”. The research results had been released for 3 years in a row from 2002 to 2004 as papers with the theme of “evaluation of antibiotics substitutes” at one of the world best international animal forum, the “ADSA‐ASAS Joint Meeting”.

In 2004, we conducted a joint research with Professors Defa Li and X.S. Piao of China Agriculture University and published a research paper stating that the product can completely replace antibiotics. We also completed registration of the product as a new feed and new material antibiotic substitute in China.

In 2006, we obtained the certifications of ISO 19001 and ISO 14001. Now, we continue to make R&D efforts in cooperation with Junnam National University and Dankook University, verifying the efficacy of the product in the prevention and inhibition of PMWS and PRRS virus, which causes respiratory diseases in pigs.

We have been awarded the “SMBA (Small and Medium Business Administration) Award for excellent venture company” in 2004, “MIAF (Ministry of Agriculture and Forest) Award for excellent agricultural technology” in 2005 and “Invention Promotion Award” in 2007. These awards show the excellence of our products. The “Sol‐to‐Bio”, one of Korea’s representative feed additives, is the best in the world as the antibiotic substitute for feeds. As a natural mineral bio material which the company has its technology to produce by using materials sourced in Korea, it has been applied for patent registration in 26 countries around the world. These include EU countries, US, Japan, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia as well as in Korea, getting a position no other competitor can reach.

As a natural mineral bio material which the company developed, “Sol‐to‐Bio” can replace antibiotics and growth promoters. Having a strong immune effect and catalyst function on animals, it protects against the virus that induces diarrhea, respiratory diseases and other diseases, and significantly reduces the mortality rate of animals.

In addition, as it greatly reduces the emission of phosphate, nitrogen and ammonia gas from the feces of animals, it not only minimizes environmental contamination but also improves the taste of meat, showing that it is the multi effective product having great efficacy.In the domestic market, products amounting to as much as 500 tons have been supplied to 20,000 livestock farms, agricultural cooperative plants nationwide and other feed plants.

As for exports, we have been exporting the product “Sol‐to‐Bio” to 8 countries including Japan, Spain, Italy, China, Taiwan and Malaysia since 2003. In particular, we have concluded MOUs with China and Italy buyers and a lot of supplies are expected from them. As such, “Sol‐to‐Bio” has been recognized for its quality around the world. Modern society puts great emphasis on the prevention of antibiotics abuse and the growing resistance of viruses against antibiotics as well as environmental contamination. We think that our product is the best solution. All members of the company are doing their best to contribute to the nation and communities.

We are proud that we have achieved this accomplishment as we have our own technology and knowhow on natural mineral bio materials which we have been accumulating and which we are continuing to accumulate.

For the development of new drugs, we have conducted experiments concerning “anti‐cancer”, “anti‐obesity” and “anti‐atopy” effects and achieved very good results. We have been giving our utmost efforts in the field of new drug development.
